Lay Leadership

Much of the church’s work is done by members serving as session members, deacons, and trustees. Session members lead ministry teams that manage the church’s work in mission, membership, facilities, evangelism, and much more. They’re always eager for new people to get involved!

Session

Presbyterian churches are governed by a body of elected elders, usually called the session. Each year, a new class is elected to the session of Central Presbyterian Church, serving a three-year term; the church often elects a youth representative who serves a one-year term. This rotation schedule provides for both continuity and fresh input.
