Mission

The Mission Team of Central Presbyterian Church (CPC) partners with non-profit organizations in order to further their missions. We raise funds and build awareness of the important work these partners accomplish. This is at the heart of CPC. We cannot live out the Christian message without reaching out to others. Please take a look, find out more, get involved, and be part of these wonderful projects. For more information on our Mission work, please contact the CPC Office.

How we support these partners:

Food on the First

On the first Sunday of each month, we collect non-perishable food items for the Manos de Cristo food pantry.

“Share the Love” Mission Fair

Every February we invite all of our Mission Partners to attend the Mission Fair, taking place after worship the Sunday before Valentine’s Day. At the Mission Fair, our partners share more about their important work with our members as well as recruit volunteers and receive donations.

Summer Service Week

Every summer, our members and their friends spend five days volunteering at local non-profit organizations. Each day we visit a different organization. We also host a blood drive this week for We Are Blood.

Dessert Auction

Every June, we solicit volunteer bakers and host a dessert auction after church. Every dollar raised goes towards the Manos de Cristo Back-to-School Program.

Pride Fest

We love having a booth at Pride Fest and marching in the Pride Parade each August!

Basic Essentials Drive

Each September, we collect hygiene products, diapers and other essential items for formerly homeless women and children living at Saint Louise House.

NAMI Walk

Each October, CPC organizes a team of walkers that raise funds for the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Christmas Kids Tree & Family Meals

Each December, we sponsor children and families through the PCHAS Christmas Kids program. We purchase toys and clothing for children in need and also provide HEB gift cards and non-perishable food items to families.
