Noonday Concert Series

Since February 21, 1980, CPC has hosted a free 30-minute concert at noon on Thursday in the sanctuary – yes, that means we’re Austin’s longest running FREE weekly concert series, and in the “Live Music Capital of the World,” that’s saying something!

We have one live concert monthly, on 2nd Thursdays. The other weeks are online, some will be videos of musicians who will be online with us, and some will be curated from YouTube videos, but we’ll continue to have great music each week.

About In-Person Concerts

We have one live concert monthly, on 2nd Thursdays.

Lunch: On weeks that are live, make a reservation for lunch.

Parking: You can park for free at St. David’s Episcopal Church and First Baptist Church. There are surface lots on Trinity at 7th St. (on the east side of road.) Capitol Metro comes pretty close to the church.

See you Thursday!

About Online Concerts

Zoom: For best results, you should download Zoom on your computer or smart phone ahead of time. We have everyone muted, and it isn’t necessary for the audience to have cameras on – you just need to have your screen and mic so you can hear the music!

If you have problems with that link, go to zoom.us and click “Join a meeting.” It’s near the upper-right part of the page. You will be prompted for the meeting ID and the password:

  • Meeting ID: 845 9343 2397
  • Passcode: 753717

We look forward to e-seeing you Thursday!

Performing on Thursdays

If you are interested in performing at a concert, you may contact Kathi Thomas, Concert Coordinator. Performers should keep in mind:

  • The concerts are free, meaning we don’t charge admission, and our musicians donate their time and talent.
  • The concerts are 30 minutes long.
  • We provide parking and lunch for the performers, and we print the programs.
